14-HOUR
ADULT DRIVER
COURSE
At iTeach, we offer a 14-hour adult driver education course for individuals aged 18 and older. A complete, online registration is required in advance to secure a seat in any 14-hour class session. Please also note that a TIP (Temporary Instruction Permit) is required to register and must be presented on the day of class.
COURSE DETAILS

6 hours of classroom instruction, which concludes with the Louisiana OMV Standardized Knowledge Test

8 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction, scheduled after passing the classroom exam
Driving sessions are broken into 2–3 hour blocks over 3–4 days. Scheduling is flexible but must be confirmed in advance. Changes require 48-hour notice, or a $35 cancellation fee will apply.​

A minimum score of 80% on the final written exam is required to pass. Students who do not pass on their first attempt may retake the test once on the same day.
​
If a passing score is not achieved after the first retest, students must schedule a new testing date and pay a $25 retest fee. Students may attempt the test twice per day until they pass.

$475 is the total cost for this course, and it is paid in the following method:

$200 non-refundable deposit required at registration of course

$275 due on the first day of 14-hour course class
Final road skills test may be scheduled after all behind-the-wheel instruction is complete.

$50 test fee for all iTeach students

Students must bring all required documents (original birth certificate, TIP or Learner's Permit, etc.)

A 48-hour notice is required if unable to attend. Less than 48-hour notice for failure to show results in $75 rescheduling fee and late arrivals incur $75 transfer fee.​ If contacting over the weekend or after-hours, you may leave voicemail to avoid penalties.
